Welcome to Northland arts centre, this is a place where the community can come and take classes in arts and crafts along with buying products and helping support a local charity.
Our inspiration and goals.
Julia & Jason opened this centre after a long personal journey, The family experienced devastating loss when their son passed in an accident at age 3. They were both professional artists and musicians and began the idea of the arts centre to provide a place for the community of those suffering grief and loss to be able to come free of charge and create art, music, poetry and healing through expression in a private homely classroom with professional teachers and artists, some of the proceeds from the paid classes we provide goes towards funding the free classes.
Since then Julia has continued her charity Angel Portraits which is 100% free to the families whose little ones flew home too soon.. these portraits are free and often softer touches and colours added or tubes removed for families memorabilia keepsakes and connecting services related to loss with parents in need of them.
The arts centre is open to ages 5 and up and runs courses for all public of all artistic abilities and our courses are varied to suit all ages and groups.
We also are interested in hosting other groups in this space..
We rely on funding and local business support to be able to offer these services to others, so if you think you can help please let us know!
